  • Biography
"Looking always at the leftover cut paper and other materials that were continuously produced through and surplus to my printmaking process. I asked myself, what would happen if I rearranged these materials and created something new? What if I introduced found materials?

In a move away from more traditional ways of working on paper and other substrates and towards collage; the found and recycled is becoming paramount to my process. Working with collage creates unexpected results for me, a sense of surprise and new meaning.

Physical environment of place is concrete inspiration, the subjective experience of being in a new place, continually exploring the detail and form within architecture, intricate lines, structures and vast space. This is reflected and resonates in my process of making through the perception of the place. The work revolves around a sense of history, of the spaces that inspire and the history of the journey making the work – leading me to chance compositions, accidental, intuitive and always finding in amongst the making.
