I am experienced jewellery designer and maker.
I strongly believe that good piece of jewellery is more than a decorative object.
In the jewellery I make, originality of the concept is central to the design and is supported by a fitting choice of material and techniques. I often play with new techniques concentrating more on the preciousness of the idea rather than on the material value of the object.
I hope, my work proofs that jewellery design evolves just like any other art or design discipline. I am also passionate about making designer jewellery more widely accessible. I am self-thought jeweller but I have mastered my skills under supervision of well known Polish silversmith, Jacek Szczepanski.
Experience
Jewellery Designer and Maker 2002 – present
Since setting up my own studio I design and produce hand made jewellery for variety of art galleries and jewellery shops (including Hamilton and Inches in 2015/16), exhibitions and personalised, private commissions. I run variety of jewellery workshops including: stone setting, ring making and wedding bands making.
I also take on commissions to fix or alternate used jewellery.
I am a member of Visual Art Scotland with whom I often exhibit including the annual and prestigious VAS exhibition at National Gallery in Edinburgh.
I am also a member of The Scottish Design Exchange and have my jewellery exhibited permanently at their shop at Ocean Terminal, Edinburgh.
