Aimie Harding

Aimie Harding is a recent graduate of Art and Philosophy at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Scotland. Over the course of her studies, she has become interested in exploring the ambiguous distinction between the ‘natural’ world and the ‘human’ world, where our technologies are no longer distinctly ours. Aimie’s practice centres around the creation of sculptural artefacts that exist within an alternative future world. Inspired by the vast imaginative worlds found in science fiction by authors such as Jeff Vandermeer and contemporary artists such as Anicka Yi, her sculptures envision the possibilities that occur as the natural world absorbs our human technologies claiming them for itself in entirely unique ways.
