Blair Kemp (b. 2002, Glasgow, Scotland) is an award-winning artist. Generally his work is bound by themes relating to his family and his origins but he also expands beyond this - investigating a range of socially charged topics.
His most recent work 'The Moon and the Yew Tree' takes inspiration from the titular poem by Sylvia Plath. The sequence hangs somewhere between documentary and fiction - evoking a sense of symbolism and metaphor. Most of the photographs were made within his family home following the death of his grandfather who had been a hoarder. He attempts to tether his home and his roots with depictions of humanity found within the wider world.
