Cara Lowe Studio was established by Cara Lowe in 2021 after graduating from The Glasgow School of Art with an Honours degree in Silversmithing & Jewellery. She then completed an Artist-In-Residence post at the GSA and now works from her Glasgow-based studio.
Inspired by digital dreamworlds and childhood nostalgia, Cara is a jewellery designer with a love for colour and play. She fuses the modern invention of 3D printing with traditional metalsmithing techniques to form ‘digijewels’, wearable objects reminiscent of a digital world.
All products are made using a combination of recycled precious metals and 3D printed PLA, a compostable bioplastic sourced from plants. Every piece is designed, made and hand-finished by Cara in her Glasgow studio. Cara strives to make her products accessible and is proud to offer a range of items to suit a variety of budgets and lifestyles. Her designs span from affordable everyday accessories to statement pieces made with precious metals. Cara showcases her collections both in independent stockists and select events across the UK.
