Daniel is inspired by the Scottish landscape, particularly its rural and rugged areas. Using diverse skills across media, he explores the relationship between man and his environment. He is particularly interested in what draws individuals to certain spaces.
When drawing and painting, Daniel often works outdoors, capturing the elements of the landscape . Works draw on this experience of being outside. The central concept of my work is connecting with a sense of place and expands on the intimate relationship individuals have with the environment.
