Each original print is a photomontage that contains pixels from freely usable Internet sources.

The new generative AI processes (GenAI), that use algorithms to analyse millions of images by inputting text, is a way to create art that looks like real photographs. My preferred approach is to visually work through several hundred artworks provided copyright-free by individuals and institutions eg. Morguefile and Rijksmuseum. Pixel layers are created, by applying digital composite techniques by hand to the selected works, and layers evolve until one remains.
