I am a Contemporary Landscape Artist from Scotland living on the dramatic Isle of Skye working in the field of painting and drawing.

As a painter, my work is a visceral response to the profound emotional experiences of being immersed in natural environments. I create large-scale, expressive, and abstract oil paintings that seek to capture the essence of these moments—where the boundaries between the self and the surrounding landscape blur, and a deeper connection to the natural world emerges.

In my practice, the canvas becomes a space for exploration and release, where bold, sweeping gestures and rich, textured layers of paint convey the intensity and complexity of these encounters. My palette is inspired by the organic hues of the environments I immerse myself in—each colour carrying the emotional weight of the landscapes they represent.

The abstraction in my work allows me to transcend the literal and delve into the emotive and sensory dimensions of nature. Each painting reflects the dynamic interplay between external landscapes and internal emotional states, a dialogue between what is seen and what is felt. By stripping away recognizable
forms, I invite viewers to engage with the raw energy and emotions that nature evokes.
