Hannah Knechtli

Primarily a painter working in mixed media my paintings reflect a response to a feeling, a person, a place. I work intuitively building a painting over many layers, often using handmade collage pieces to allow myself to explore an extra dimension. The majority of my work is figurative in some way, but the figures often remain minimally drawn, allowing me to use line and colour rather than detail to convey a mood.
I am exploring sculpture in new pieces, revelling in the third dimension.
