  • Biography
I am a painter and textile artist inspired by a variety of subjects, and motivated increasingly by vibrant colour. It is extremely unfortunate that we have a clothes mountain in the world now, but I am doing my best to diminish it single-handedly by prolific thrift shop buying, saving amazing-hued garments from the tip and using them in my stitched work. I have never lost my love of painting, however, and like to alternate between the two activties in order to return to each one afresh.
Open University BA degree. Evening courses and summer schools at Edinburgh College of Art (Printed Textiles, Portrait Painting, Neo-Expressionism with a pupil of Georg Baselitz).
Have exhibited in the Royal Scottish Academy with the RSSW and Visual Arts Scotland, and in Norwich Cathedral ( a textile in the Hostry) and with the Guild of Aviation Artists at the Mall Galleries, London.
