- Biography
My work focuses on rust, distress and the dilapidated, finding joy in layers of peeling paint and the crumbling stonework of traditional structures. Over time the new has become old and become new once more, but in a different form. These colours, textures and patterns form the central theme of my work, in paint and print, with stone lithography the principal medium employed. Through this medium in particular I am able to build up layers of semi transparent colour and texture, to suggest the changes which have occurred, reflecting on times past, accepting the present and creating the new.
Current work also incorporates elements of landscape and still life in various disciplines.
