Lisa Fenton O'Brien

Lisa Fenton O'Brien
  • Work
  • Biography
My current work focusses on drawing and painting but I have a multidisciplinary practice which over the years has included sound, music composition, video and installation. There are both figurative and abstract aspects to my recent work and it is heavily influenced by the dramatic weather and wild landscape of the remote North West Highlands where I have lived for the past 20 years. The gestures I use in my work are instinctive responses to what I see and hear and also expressions of an inner emotional landscape and I am currently experimenting with ways of physically incorporating the weather conditions over a period of time into my work. I often make the work outside using found materials.
