My art is mostly based around still life - the style developing from live observations mixed with bits and pieces inspired by artists I like . I generally work in acrylic on canvas but also do a bit of collage.
I trained at Edinburgh College of Art from 1974 - 1979 and worked in Secondary Schools for 20 years. I then moved out from Art Education to study Floristry and, after having had my own flower business went into lecturing the subject at Edinburgh College. When Floristry was discontinued I moved back over to lecturing in the Fine art Department where I remained
until I retired in 2019. I continue to work as a volunteer teacher in community education.
