- Biography
I am a visual artist working in the west of Scotland. I contrast derelict industrial sites with exotic flora and fauna, bringing together various elements to create unexpected photo-realistic images. I mostly employ the technical skills acquired as a designer and photographer, although I am increasingly reverting to other media, such as watercolour, to counterbalance the ubiquitous computer.
After gaining the Diploma in Printing from Manchester Polytechnic I started my professional career as a printer in North Wales, followed by positions as Design Officer with Gwynedd County Council and Tayside Regional Council. Following a period as Exhibitions Organiser with SMMB I started my own Graphic and Exhibition Design business in 1992. I am now increasingly moving my focus away from graphic design to my own projects as a visual artist.
