I have often considered my studio as a laboratory and my creative process as research and experiments, which is why I do not limit myself to a specific media. I adapt my craft to the opportunities available where I happen to be.
In Italy I make ceramic pieces, sculpted or cast, that will join other works to form installations. In my Paris studio I often work with fabric which can be sewn into shapes or delicately assembled. My walls are ‘tattooed’ with natural pigments in muted tones. My studio/home showcases my multiple methods and what emerges is an amused and caring processing of painful issues and emotional glitches in which, failure, mistakes and unexpected outcomes are embraced and exploited, there is much to do with reframing challenges as opportunities. The ‘Clinically’ white ceramic pieces can be secured or joined by ‘lifelines’ of vibrant ropes or arranged in soothing layouts or protective parures. There are imaginary ‘tools’, keys and remedies for undetermined ailments. Care, repair and healing, run throughout the work, in a humorous but empathetic interpretation of universal themes of connectivity and survival.
Recently, my keen interest in Neuroscience, has prompted me to explore a new experiment, first hand. I want to investigate the possible beneficial impacts of practicing art and dance in an attempt to regulate and slow down natural cognitive decline in the aging brain. I want to draw inspiration from, and represent directly, what I perceive while being mindful of creating a positive and constructive neural plasticity.

Following a year at the Academia di Belle Arti in Rome,
She studied graphic design and photography at ESAG (Ecole Supérieure d’Art Graphique, Penninghen, Paris).

The artworks are assembled and installed throughout the spaces in tableaux of varying components. The Pure white ceramics are arranged on painted walls, strung or connected with vibrant cords, alongside delicate fabric pieces which have been sewn into shapes or assembled. The marked colour palette and unexpected juxtapositions of artworks, sometimes combined, with ‘foraged’ objects, all come together in a fresh and distinct visual language.
