I am a photographer from Scotland, particularly interested in people’s relationship to wilder places. Having grown up in the countryside outside of Glasgow, my early experiences of nature and human-animal relationships continue to influence my work. Previously I have explored the character of countryside living and lifestyles in relation to fashion imagery – creating fashion images that feel reflective of the vibrancy of life and creativity alive in these places. However, as I develop, I’m becoming increasingly interested in the space where conceptual and documentary image-making meet. This is reflective in my on-going project, exploring how we can photograph everyday experiences of rural landscapes.
I am currently working and completing an MA in London, but when thinking about the future, I am excited by the prospect of developing my practice outside a major city and how that could influence my work.
