David Ingrey

In 2007 I started attending art classes , striving to Improve my skills. I have developed a style I feel has originality and artistic value.I am enjoying discovering my passion for weaving.It. has been a deeply personal journey which enhances my growth as an artist .
My current work is inspired by my love of mid century architecture. I also have a fascination for the small details; the layers of paint revealed through time. This begins with photographs taken as I walk around cities. I then turn these into collages. The colours are inspired by the layers of peeling paint and chipped walls.The tapestries become a patchwork of geometric shapes and textures.
