  • Biography
Hannah Evans - 17 year old, neurodiverse, visually impaired artist. I find it hard to communicate through language so use art and colour to express myself. Thus this statement was written for her on her behalf.
I produce art though my own unique experimentation and style inspired by artists including Sir Anish Kapoor, Carla Black, Vincent Van Gogh, Bernat Klein, Jackson Pollock and many others. I see their work, study, learn then create my own work inspired by their techniques, plus science, space and experimentation. I further develop and experiment with additional media, ideas and new art techniques. As a result of my visual impairment, I think I see colour differently.
I am youngest Member of the SAU, was awarded West Lothian 2022, best overall achievement in Art. My first selling exhibition in Cass Art Glasgow in February 2024 was featured in a full page Sunday post article, on radio and covered by many other news articles. I had a subsequent 5 day exhibition in Livingston Designer Centre. My aim is to make people happy when they see my work.
I was picked up by the media "The Lewis Capalidi of the art world", "wonderful use of colour". "I am essentially self taught, as do not do art at school. I am an abstract artist, but can also do traditional landscapes and flower scenes etc.
At 16, youngest ever Professional member of Scottish Artist Union, had 9 exhibitions (5 large solo) and multiple publications and reviews.
