Lana Turner

I work with Found Photography as a base for my work. I draw inspiration from the original image first before altering. I like to erase the busyness of the background and block out features using paint or thread leaving a hint of the person behind.

I am driven by life experiences and memories. A never ending exploration of who I am and how I fit into the world.

As a Mixed media Artist I am always evolving my practice. Most recently I have been working on a lot of stitched pieces.

I find my work to be a major outlet and therefore very personal. But I hope that it translates across many view points.
