Miranda Macdonald is a sculptor specialising in ceramic sculpture, abstract bas relief, handbuilt vessels and animals. She practised landscape architecture for an number of years after graduating in landscape architecture in London, following a foundation year at Glasgow School of Art. She also studied landscape architecture in Copenhagen and Paris on exchange programmes. Later working as a Landscape Architect and a lecturer in architecture school in Scotland. Turning full circle, she has returned to fine art, having kept her hand in with figurative drawing and portraiture. The natural world, archaeology, travel, poetry and fine art inform her work. She also enjoys drawing plants and taking part in voluntary bumblebees, butterflies & plant ID for citizen science.
