It is the Artist’s purpose to seek out and illustrate dreams. To provide a portal for the viewer.
An invitation to cross the threshold to enter another world.
Images are poems about time. Artist’s are time travellers.
I am a multidisciplinary artist focusing on photography and antique printing processes, particularly cyanotype. The natural world and folklore are the root source of my work. Found objects appear as sentinels in the landscape, totems to love, loss and magic. Seeking out the thin places between reality and imagination
I find inspiration in unexpected locations and work to distil images from a deep sense of place,
creating a visual language authentically my own.
The most vulnerable and brave act known to humankind is to alchemise emotions into art.
I strive for this. The energy of wild places drives my creative process, as inspiration and subject matter. Water in all its forms describing emotion. Recording the truth of the impermanence of all things,
feels like a victory over the fleeting passage of time. A story, a feeling preserved.
