Gillian Swaile

Originally from Carnoustie in Angus, I am a self taught artist and printmaker living in Northumberland National Park. My printmaking is predominately linocut, but I also produce screenprints and mono prints. I have illustrated a book of short stories for an award winning author. I am an active studio member at Northern Print in Newcastle, participating in projects and member exhibitions. I have just finished a solo exhibition at Allendale Forge Studios, Northumberland. I am lucky to live rurally, in a designated dark skies area. My inspiration comes from the celestial bodies above, and the wildlife that surrounds me, both in the North Tyne valley and the vast expanse of Kielder Forest.
